Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Does the Tune Take?2025-09-10T02:08:10+00:00

The tuning process typically takes 20-30 minutes for our base calibrations. Supercharged and/or Custom Calibrations can take upwards of 1-2 hours, depending on vehicle modifications.

Will This Void My Warranty?2025-09-10T02:08:32+00:00

Like any aftermarket part or modification, the tune can potentially void your vehicle’s warranty IF the dealer can prove it directly caused the issue. Currently, there have been no reported issues or warranty problems related to OTT tunes across multiple platforms. With tens of thousands of trucks across the country with OTT, we haven’t experienced any warranty issues.

Can the Dealer Detect The Tune?2025-09-10T02:09:02+00:00

Your vehicle’s ECU ID will remain stock, and the calibrations are native to the ECU. The CVN number is updated after the ECU has been modified. Your vehicle will be treated no differently than stock, and all diagnostic and dealership functions will remain the same.

And thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, your factory warranty cannot be voided just because you’ve tuned your ECU. A dealer would need to prove that the tune directly caused a specific issue before denying warranty coverage.

Can I Go Back to the Stock Tune?2025-09-10T02:09:26+00:00

Yes, it’s a simple process to flash the stock calibration back on the vehicle.

Will the Tune Correct My Speedometer for Larger Tires?2025-09-10T02:09:55+00:00

No, unfortunately, the tune cannot calibrate the speedometer. You will need to purchase a speedometer calibrator to adjust accordingly.

Can My Vehicle be Tuned if the Catalytic Converters Have Been Removed or if There is a CEL?2025-09-10T02:11:12+00:00

All emission components must be fully intact for the vehicle to be tuned. Additionally, any CEL’s need to be addressed and resolved prior to getting tuned.
